Process
 
Mission
To prepare a diverse group of baccalaureate degree prepared students for entry -level positions in college or university student personnel services by providing leadership and scholarship in the field, by encouraging professional growth practica and by utilizing current technologies appropriate for the field

Outcome 1
Students will demonstrate their academic development in fundamentals of research methods, measurement and evaluation or statistics relevant to their area of specialization.
        
       Measures:
       1.1 90% of students who complete required coursework will obtain a passing score on their first attempt at passing their comprehensive exam on components relevant to research methods, valuation and/or statistics.
        
       1.2 All students will successfully complete assigned projects and milestone activities, which provide them an opportunity to demonstrate acquired knowledge and skills as judged by program faculty.
        
Outcome 2
Students will demonstrate their academic development in the history and philosophy, finance, community awareness, career development, ethical and legal implications and counseling skills relevant to student personnel services in higher education.
        
       Measures:
       2.1 All students, at the conclusion of their M.A. Program, will have successfully completed a required professional core of courses and associated projects and activities as judged by educational leadership faculty and students' academic advisors.
        
       2.2 90% of students who complete required core courses and associated projects and activities will obtain a passing score on their first attempt taking the comprehensive exam at the conclusion of coursework leading to the M.A. degree as judged by a panel of program faculty. Students who do not complete a component are afforded opportunities to rewrite.
        
Outcome 3
Students will demonstrate their professional development through their successful performance in required field experience.
        
       Measures:
       3.1 All students completing the M.A. degree will demonstrate their competency, as evidenced by the practicum evaluation form, on a selected project reflecting the combined judgment/ evaluation of at least one master's level student personnel professional and the practicum faculty instructor.
        
       3.2 All students completing the M.A. degree will demonstrate their ability to assume administrative responsibilities through internship completed in higher education settings as judged by the program internship supervisor.
        
Outcome 4
Program evaluations by program completers will reflect a high rate of satisfaction with their graduate educational experience and professional preparation.
        
       Measures:
       4.1 Eighty percent of program graduates who complete the Graduating Graduate Student Survey and respond to item #7 will rate their overall graduate experience at UCF as "Good," "Very Good," or "Excellent".
        
       4.2 Eighty percent of program graduates who complete the Graduating Graduate Student Survey and respond to item #11 will rate their graduate academic experience at UCF as "Good," "Very Good," or "Excellent".
        
       4.3 Eighty percent (80%) of respondents to item #30 on the GGSS will rate the quality of instruction in their program as "Good," "Very Good," or "Excellent."
        
       4.4 100% of all program graduates will complete the Graduating Graduate Survey in a capstone course.
